Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.
I’ve gotten out of the habit of doing TTT lately but quite liked this weeks topic on the longest books I’ve ever read. At first, I thought I hadn’t read many long books but looking through my Goodreads ‘read’ shelf revealed that I’ve actually read quite a few books that are 500+ pages! As there are a few books in series where the authors are determined to kill their readers with books as big as bricks, I’ve only included the longest book in the series to prevent this list being dominated by A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, and The Illuminae Files.
Children of Blood and Bone – 525 pages
Middlesex – 529 pages
The Amber Spyglass – 548 pages
The Girl Who Played with Fire – 569 pages
Fingersmith – 582 pages
American Gods – 635 pages
Gemina – 659 pages
Breaking Dawn – 756 pages
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – 870 pages
A Feast for Crows – 1,061 pages
