WWW Wednesday + Updates | 21st February 2019

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading/playing?
What did you recently finish reading/playing?
What do you think you’ll read/play next?

So… I know it’s a day late and I haven’t posted a WWW Wednesday 2 weeks but I finally have a spare moment to actually do a quick post to update you all on what I’m getting up to at the moment reading wise. I’ve also expanded the question out to include what I’m playing video games, as I’m finding that I’m spending more time playing games than reading at the moment in an attempt to wind down with my partner, and some weeks I have no book updates but more game updates!

What’s on the Box | Mass Effect 3 & Detroit: Become Human

What’s on the Box | Mass Effect 3 & Detroit: Become Human

I introduced my ‘What’s on the Box‘ feature back in April in the hopes that it would encourage me to watch more television. Whilst this might seem like a little bit of a weird one for all of you who fall into deep Netflix holes, I am almost the complete opposite. It is rare that I watch TV even once a week – even if it’s something I really want to watch! Sadly, my little trick doesn’t seem to have worked as I have only ever officially done precisely two WOTB features but I want to bring it back! As I’m still watching much TV I thought I would open it up to video games too, as that’s usually what I’m doing when I’m not reading and there are so many cool games I’d love to talk about with you all!

Top 10 Tuesday | Top 10 Video Games

Top 10 Tuesday | Top 10 Video Games

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book tag that was run by The Broke and the Bookish but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a different bookish theme those deep-seated desires to list! Anyone is welcome to join in on their blog, in the comments or any other way.

– Top 10 Video Games –

I’m back with Top 10 Tuesday! I haven’t done it for almost a month partly because I haven’t had much time recently and partly because I wasn’t feeling the past few topics. This week though is a freebie prompt which I’ve been really excited about, especially after seeing Mel‘s post about her top 10 video games. I posted up a poll on twitter asking what topic you’d like to see me do this week and video games won with 57% of the vote, so that’s what you’re all getting for this week 😉

What I’m most excited about at E3 2017: Xbox Conference

What I’m most excited about at E3 2017: Xbox Conference

Anyone who knows me will know that I am not a massive fan of Xbox, and their presentation at E3 did nothing to change that, even with their announcement of their new Xbox One X console which they dub “the most powerful console in the world”. Whilst I admire (and snark on) their enthusiasm and release of a diverse array of Xbox “exclusives” which suit a wide range of audiences, there is nothing in there makes me gasp and go “I must immediately sell everything I own to get me the new Xbox One X console”. So, whilst I have provided a list below of the games that excited me most at the Xbox One X conference, it’s good to bear in mind that these are ‘Launch “exclusives”‘ aka we just got to announce the game, or ‘Timed exclusives’ meaning that they will be quickly available on other consoles, if they not immediately.
