After having such a successful January, this month has been off to quite a slow start. I’ve had a lot going on over the past week and I’m going to be pretty busy for most of February meaning I’m likely to have less time for reading and blogging. I did come up with a fairly ambitious TBR, prior to realizing I might not have much time this month, so we’ll have to check back in at the end of the month to see how much (if any) progress I made!

Hello, new year friendos!
I have honestly been so looking forward to my January TBR for the past few weeks because it meant that the late-a-thon would finally be here to rescue me from my overdue ARCs. Destiny knows what we all need to get our 2019 off to the right start.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive some excellent ARCs throughout 2018 and I have been feeling super guilty about how long some of them have been waiting for me to read and review them. I’m hoping that the late-a-thon will serve its purpose of helping me catch up on those pesky overdue ARCs, meaning that I can finally review them (sorry authors and publishers!) and move onto my more recent ARCs.

Hey, chilly panda pops!
I simply cannot believe that this is the last TBR of 2018. Every year I have remarked on how quickly the months are passing and now the year is almost over in the blink of an eye. I haven’t done a bingo event for what seems like forever so I couldn’t resist the lure of Foxes and Fairytale’s #mythothon for November, especially given my love for Greek mythology! As the end of the year is hurtling towards us at rapid speed the #mythothon bingo card also gives me the perfect opportunity to work out which books have been sadly sidelined this year and try to finish them before the end of the year. Which leads me onto the other thing happening this month, Remember November, a challenge to help you meet those pesky 2018 goals we set at the beginning of the year! Reading more owned books was one of my main goals for the year, so the mythothon and Remember November tie in perfectly for me.

I wanted to come at you all this week with something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently – themed TBR’s! This year one of my goals was to do more themed reads throughout the year. Last year I didn’t do any themed reads/TBR’s at all, and I felt like I ended up really missing out on events like Bingos and awareness months like Black History Month. I have a lot of books that I always intend to read but never find the time for, so sometimes themed TBR’s can be a massive kick up the butt!
