12 Books I Need to Read in 2020

It’s January which means it’s a list month extravaganza so here’s another list for you – this time on the books that I want to read in 2020. Every year I make a list of my priority reads for the year, every year the year ends with me not having read most of the books on it. This year though I am determined to read all of these – don’t rain on my parade. Each cover links to its goodreads page.

WWW Wednesday | 11th September 2019

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading/playing?
What did you recently finish reading/playing?
What do you think you’ll read/play next?

I’m continuing to have quite a difficult time at the moment as my depression has taken a bit of a nosedive, likely in response to stress around my dissertation which I’ve had to get an extension for. However, I’ve actually been able to use this time to seek solace in books rather than sitting in a massive blanket puddle not doing anything and I’ve been able to get a lot of reading done this week which is great!

OWL Readathon | My Partner Picks My TBR

OWL Readathon | My Partner Picks My TBR

I must have been living under a rock in April because I somehow completely missed out on the OWLs Readathon that happened, so according to the official OWLs letter by McGonaggal I got a Troll grade by default of not showing up. Well done me! But this time I am ready for my OWLs! In order to pass your OWLs, you must finish reading at least 2 books during July (Acceptable), or you can read 3 books to Exceed Expectations, or to receive an Outstanding mark you have to read at least 5 books! Once you pass the OWLs you can then go on to sit your NEWTs in August – so it will be a very busy 2 months for me (typical).

June TBR | PRIDE HAS ARRIVED

June TBR | PRIDE HAS ARRIVED

Hello Pandas!

It’s here! The summer is here. Pride is here. All the good things have finally arrived and this makes me very happy. June looks set to be a very busy month for me because, as per usual, I have buried myself under a huge TBR full of queer reads as well as my picks for the Ramadan Readathon. I tried to practice a bit more restraint but it hasn’t happened. There’s always time to practice the less is more mindset next month though! I have also *gasp* actually planned the majority of my blog posts in advance to expect lots of exciting content about ocean day themed reads, queer comics, and lots of discussions!

For now though, all the books and all the pride.
