As of November, I hadn’t purchased another Fairyloot book box since my Whimsical Journeys one for my birthday in April, but when I saw that they were releasing a special science fiction themed one for sci-fi month I knew I needed to grab a box as sci-fi is my favourite genre! The theme for November was ‘Battles and Galaxies’, promising a box of 7 sci-fi goodies inspired by Illuminae, Red Rising and the Lunar Chronicles alongside a fantastic new YA sci-fi book. Let me tell you – it definitely did not disappoint!
Every year I look forward to the Goodreads Choice Awards and this year was no different. Even long before I started book blogging, the GR Choice Awards provided the perfect opportunity to show my love for my favourite books and (of course) increase my TBR by adding some of the biggest book names of the year.
Hey, chilly panda pops!
I simply cannot believe that this is the last TBR of 2018. Every year I have remarked on how quickly the months are passing and now the year is almost over in the blink of an eye. I have read so many amazing books this year and also many books I had planned to read fell by the wayside so this month will be dedicated to catching up on those books!
It’s not the End of the Year (yet) nor is it Thursday, but I’m going to do the End of the Year book tag anyway because Destiny is a bad influence on me and I’ve missed blogging so much these past few weeks!
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Usually, I’m quite good at abandoning books halfway through but that has not been the case with my ARC of Defy the Worlds. 2 months later I’ve not picked it back up after putting it down but I really need to finish it before the end of the year!
So, I know it’s now Friday and not Thursday but I am honestly so behind on everything this week, so play along with me and pretend it’s still Thursday? As its Sci-Fi Month, I wanted to do a Sci-Fi inspired book tag but couldn’t find one that I liked. As Sci-Fi Month has a great photo prompt challenge going on for this month, I thought I would adapt it into a book tag so that a) I could do a book tag and b) because I keep forgetting to do a photo for each daily prompt!
